Call for Session/Presentation Abstracts

View Guidelines for Speakers
The 2012 OSHA Oil and Gas Safety Conference Planning Committee is pleased to invite you and your organization to propose a presentation for the 2012 Conference, which will be held December 4 – 5, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.
In addition to keynote addresses, there will be up to 70 breakout presentations for smaller audiences. Proposed session should cover topics, current issues, best practices, theoretical/practical applications in industry, and/or other pertinent and pressing topics as they relate to at least one of the Conference Session Tracks listed below.
- Behavior Based Safety
- Contractors
- Drilling Safety
- Industry Resources
- Management/Leadership
- OSHA Regulatory Compliance
- Training and Education
- Transportation/Driver Safety
- Well Servicing
If you are interested in presenting at the conference, follow the guidelines below and submit the electronic form below by June 30, 2012.
- General guidelines for presentations include:
- 30 minutes in length, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session
- 10-15 PowerPoint slides total
- PowerPoint template will be provided
- Target audience of approximately 125 people per breakout room
- Abstracts for presentation ideas are required by June 30, 2012. Basic information includes:
- Presenter’s name and title
- Company and location
- Title of presentation
- Short description (3-4 sentences) of presentation
- Notifications of selected abstracts will be made on a rolling basis until August 1, 2012.
- The complete presentations and commitment to present are due by September 1, 2012. View guidelines for Speakers.

- The presentation selection committee will give preference to presentations which present compeling data in support of the effectiveness of the "success stories, best practices, lessons learned or new ideas". Presenters should make reference in their abstracts as to whether this data will be presented.
